ICOS–Video

ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System) is a European research project that measures CO₂ in the air, water and on land using advanced measuring stations. ICOS Belgium manages nine such stations in our country, in a wide variety of locations, from the North Sea to the High Fens. The collected data enables scientists to predict future climate trends and monitor whether climate measures are having an effect.
ICOS Belgium wanted to present its work to a wider audience, both online, in presentations and on site at multiple measuring stations. Together, we decided to showcase their high-tech research in an engaging and understandable way in a series of four videos.
We took care of the entire production process, from script and voice-over to sound, on-location shoots and editing. A general introductory video highlights the work of ICOS Belgium and the importance of their research. The three other videos zoom in on the work carried out at three measuring stations in different Flemish biotopes: forests, heathlands and at sea. The end result is an accessible introduction for visitors, colleagues and casual passers-by, while also providing the organisation with a dynamic calling card for trade fairs, project meetings and social media.
