Zoo Antwerpen

Modular signage system

The Antwerp Zoo is a pearl of historical architecture, where more than 3000 animal species reside amongst beautiful surroundings in the middle of town. To make each Zoo visit as educational as possible, the Zoo's Research and Development service commissioned Kandesign to develop a signage system for the information panels placed at all animals' quarters. While fitting in with the Zoo's graphic style, the modular and flexible system allows staff to easily modify and/or adapt panels, or switch them when animals move to different quarters. The system is designed to suit quarters housing only one species of animal as well as quarters where different animals live together. Kandesign executed the design and development as well as coordinating production and installation.
