Next to the more mediagenic aspects of the merger between ASLK and the Generale Bank to form the new Fortis Bank, a typical design problem emerged behind the scenes in the integration of the two companies' self-banking environments.

In collaboration with Cable Print, Kandesign developed a modern, user-friendly and universally applicable user interface for the Fortis ATM machines. This interface was designed specifically to both be integrated with the existing ASLK inventory and be the new face of the Fortis self-banking operation. A solution whereby Kandesign and Cable Print personified the Fortis motto: Solid partners, flexible solutions.
