Business Continuity Plan

A Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a series of logistical documents and routines, allowing an organisation to resume and recover critical functions and operations during or following any kind of incident or calamity. From a “mere” office fire to major earthquakes, a good BCP will help to minimise the duration and consequences of any resulting disruption of services.

Truvo - formerly known as World Directories - already had an extensive BCP worked out. What the company needed was an efficient tool to manage, maintain and retrieve their numerous BCP documents. These relate to the various physical Truvo sites across different countries, as well as specific business areas, processes and much more, and should be accessible from anywhere. With a project requiring know-how in many aspects of interactive information management and design, Truvo called on KAN Design to develop this critical application.

The BCP tool efficiently stores and organises all BCP-related documents online, enabling users to quickly download the specific BCP documents they need. The tool also supports a workflow in which editors, publishers and coordinators all work together in keeping BCP documents up-to-date. Online PDF-generation, online notification mailing, event and action logging and easy querying are also integrated in the tool. One thing is now certain: Truvo’s business continuity is assured, come what may.
