The Tiense Sugar Refinery is more than just a company, it is a Belgian institution. Their little sugar cubes are in daily use by most Belgian households to sweeten every cup of coffee or tea. This widespread brand awareness makes the "Tiense" - with its prominent T-logo - one of the strongest brands in Belgian consumer goods.
However, the brand did lack an expression of its origins: a natural product with a powerful nutricious value, grown between heaven and earth in the fertile flemish soil. This is where KAN Design was asked to propose a brand harmonisation programme, while leaving the logo as it was.
By adding subtle curved graphical elements in the overall corporate image, a visual hint to the natural aspect of the product was created. And by revamping almost all of the corporate stationery and literature, we created a consistent and rationalised set of communication tools. A sophisticated online design manual ensures automated download, installation and personalisation of Microsoft Office templates.
