Medipolis is a private health centre that's just left the starting blocks. Offering both medical and cosmetic interventions, Medipolis is specialised in remedial as well as esthetic surgery of the facial and dental areas. These operations are performed to the highest standards in a refined and relaxing environment.

KAN Design was asked to conceive the new centre’s name and logo, where the brief specified the new name should emphasise the medical aspect of its activities, reflect that it would be a centre combining different medical disciplines and also refer to its location in Antwerp. Brainstorming this input gave rise to several strong contenders, from which the client picked the agency's favourite. The first half of "Medipolis" obviously refers to the centre's medical nature, while "polis" is the ancient Greek word for "city" and "community" to reflect the comprehensive nature of the centre's activities, while also being a clin d'oeuil to Antwerp city's nickname of "Metropolis".

The logo itself can be read in a number of ways: a heart shape as a medical symbol as well as illustrating the attentive care available at the centre, a helping hand, or even the initial M, all set in an informal yet dynamic style. This is balanced by the sober typography of the Medipolis name to indicate the serious competence of the centre's specialists, while the warm red colour scheme again denotes comfort and care.
