The world's leading settlement provider, Euroclear offers asset servicing and optimization facilities for transactions in debt securities, equities, investment funds and money-market instruments. By offering clients from financial markets all over Europe a single securities account on a single platform, Euroclear helps to significantly reduce cross-border transaction costs.

Clients access the Euroclear system through a web-based interface application, providing both an overview and detailed sections covering a diversity of possible transactions as well as news bulletins and system-internal messages. Teaming up for this project with Namahn, a Brussels-based agency specialised in user-centered design applications, KAN Design acted as graphic design consultants for the overall concept as well as eventually producing the various elements making up the graphic user interface for this application.

Because the application is a tool that's in frequent use by Euroclear clients, the prime considerations in this project were to provide a clear and consistent structure, combined with a restrained use of graphics that allows the user to focus on the information and the task at hand. At the same time, a translation of the Euroclear graphic identity towards an on-line environment ensures the interface for this flagship system fully supports the Euroclear brand.
